Faith Christian Academy

Dale Cordova

Bio:

I grew up in Cleveland Ohio and graduated from Bowling Green State University with a B.S. in Education degree in 1966. I served in the Air Force for seven years as a pilot and flew over 200 combat missions in Vietnam. After the Air Force, I flew as a commercial pilot for over 23 years.. .serving in the Chief Pilots office the last two years of my career.

Federal regulations forced me to retire from the Airline when I turned 60, so I started a real estate investment management company in 2004 and stayed involved until 2007 when I turned management over to my son.

I currently teach at Grace Academy for independent study and home schooling. . . overseeing a transitional classroom. I also deal with counseling issues. I have completed Elijah House formalized training in Christian based counseling, and have served in that ministry for several years.

I will be school counselor at Faith Christian and look forward to working with the students, staff and parents. Initially my schedule will be every Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon from 130 to 430. Anger management is a major problem in our society today.. .and seems to be a core issue in most counseling circumstances. It is my hope to not only address those issues in the counseling room but to offer instruction proactively outside the counseling room as the opportunity arises.

I enjoy just about all sports, particularly hunting, fishing, and playing golf. I'm married to my best friend Nora, who teaches school in Henry County. We have one child whose name is Jared. He lives and works in Griffm along with his wife Julie.

COUNSELORS CORNOR

Counseling has been around since the beginning when God counseled Adam not to partake of a certain tree. We counsel our friends when asked…and we counsel our kids when needed. Advice has always been around, but Christian based counseling goes a few steps further. It’s basically listening with a trained ear and allowing God to unlock the doors where secrets hide. It is allowing the Holy Spirit to heal and brings a freedom and peace where strife and bondage abide. As we all know, our children are precious gifts from God. I look forward to assisting you and or your child in anyway that I may. You may feel free to contact me at 678-570-7062 and I’ll be glad to talk with you.

God Bless Dale Cordova
