Teacher - Dana Harrell

Bio:

My name is Dana Harrell and I am proud to be teaching Music and Drama at Faith this year. I have been married to the Reverend Stanley Harrell for almost 26 years and together we have raised four wonderful children. My degree is a Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy and Music Education from Ohio University 1982. I served for about 10 years as a Music Therapist in the McIntosh Trail Community MH/MR system, working primarily with teenagers with substance abuse issues. I taught chorus and general music for 5 years at Flynt Middle School and directed the choral program at Spalding High for 2 years (both in Griffin) before going to private school. Last year I taught at Victory Christian School in Conyers to be a little closer to our new grandchild in his first year and was pleased and proud to be asked to come to Faith this year. I currently hold a T4 certificate to teach music in the state of Georgia. I also have a private studio and teach voice piano and guitar after school both here and in my home. I am on the board of Camelot theatre and am the standing music director there as well as the official photographer.
