Faculty, Staff, Students, and Parents
Samsung is continuing a program called Four Seasons of Hope which allows individuals to write brief essays to help a school in their community. The benefits include technology grants which we desperately need.
I am asking every staff, student, parent to take a moment and advocate for the future of our school's technology needs. Please take a moment of your time to do this and keep praying that God will find a way to meet our needs.
I am also encouraging students to participate by offering extra credit for participation.
Please go to their site, www.fourseasonsofhope.com and submit a 100 word (or less) essay on the following topic:
Despite the rapid growth of new technologies, many schools do not have the tools and equipment they need to properly educate their students. So we want to know, how the consumer electronics, computer equipment and software awarded through Samsung's Four Seasons of Hope could benefit your school? Essays should focus on:
- How consumer electronics, computer equipment, and software can enhance the education process.
- How access to these technologies and the use of social networking can change the way that students learn.
- The unique and innovative teaching methods that are enabled by computer and consumer electronics technologies.
Thank You
Jan Hatchett

Dear Parents:
Capri Sun has started a new recycling/fund raising program that Faith Christian Academy is beginning to participate in. In an effort to keep Capri Sun pouches out of landfills, the TerraCycle program will take recycled pouches and make new items out of them.
For every pouch that is recycled, the company will make new products out of them.
Parents are asked to keep empty Capri Sun pouches at home and send them in a ziplock bag to their child's teachers for recycling. Teachers will have bags to collect used pouches at school We will even have a special bucket for empty pouches in our cafeteria.
FCA will receive 2 cents for each pouch that is recycled. That's 20 cents for every box of 10! These pouches can add up to new equipment and other items for our students to use!
For more information and to see the recycled products, go to www.caprisun.com/terracycle.
Thanks again for supporting FCA!

Dress Code for Chapel Services
In an effort to encourage our students to show take pride in our school and respect to our God, Faith Christian Academy students must wear their polo shirt with school logo on it on their designated Chapel day. FCA t-shirts are not an acceptable substitute for these days. Elementary students have Chapel on Tuesdays. Middle and High School students have Chapel on Thursdays. All activity fees must be paid in full in order for shirts to be issued. Please see Mrs. Misty Mays if you have not received your shirt.
In the event that students would like to have an additional shirt to wear, they may purchase a plain colored polo shirt of their choice (no stripes, pattern, etc). They should bring the shirt to school and see Mrs. Teresa to make sure that the shirt fits appropriately (not excessively tight). If the shirt is approved by Mrs. Teresa, then you will be notified of a local vendor that has our official logo on file. You may have the shirt embroidered by that vendor at your own expense. This will enable students to have shirts of different colors if they wish to.
Attention Parents:
If you are choosing to pay the monthly tuition, the tuition payment is due on the first of the month and late after the 5th of the month. Any tuition that is still owed after the 5th of the month will be assessed a $25 late fee. If tuition is not paid in full by the last day of the month, the student will be removed from the roll. Once the student has been removed from the roll it will be necessary to re- enroll the student in FCA.
When submitting Checks for school fees ( Lunch ,Tuition, Fieldtrips , etc.) please submit them separately. Please include in the memo section the childs name , grade , checks purpose.
Thank you,
Cathy Johnson
